Sherri began her career at Northpointe in 1996. She is now the administrative coordinator for the entire practice. Sherri is involved to some degree in almost everything that happens “behind the scenes” at Northpointe Veterinary Hospital. In her spare time, Sherri enjoys spending time with her family and four-legged friends “Miley” and “Marley.”
REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS
She has been with our practice since 2007. She helps to keep the treatment, lab and surgery areas organized, and assists the doctors with surgery and dentistry. Sharon will ensure your pet receives excellent care at our hospital. She enjoys riding four wheelers, snowmobiles, camping and spending time with her husband, daughters and with their Labrador Katie.
She has been at Northpointe since 2009, and helped as we expanded into 24-hour emergency services. Currently, while working full time to help during the daytime hours, she continues to offer support during emergencies when needed. Natalie has a great compassion for animals and will always try to find an abandoned pet a good home. She has several pets on her farm: Ellie, Koda, Maverick and Ryder, just to name a few.
has over 20 years of experience as a registered veterinary technician, and currently works as an emergency technician at Northpointe. She is responsible for the care and monitoring of patients that are brought in through the night. Karen enjoys gardening in her free time and is involved in showing Brittany Spaniels at AKC and UKC dog shows. Atlas, Kherrington and Paris are just a few of the pets that share her home.
She started at our hospital as a volunteer, but she has now graduated from the registered veterinary technician program at Western Career College, passed the California state licensing board exam, and has now become a valuable member of our permanent staff. As a registered veterinary technician, she cares for hospitalized pets, assists in surgery and administers treatments. She also manages our prescription diet program for patients here at Northpointe. In her free time Tiffany enjoys boating with her husband and her four legged kids Sophee and Rubee.
She is a valuable part of our emergency staff, assisting the doctors with all aspects of emergency care. Annina started on our staff as an assistant, but her love of animals drove her to continue her education and she became a registered veterinary technician in 2011. Her current pets are Duke and Vino.
She started out as a kennel assistant at Northpointe years ago, and completed the veterinary technician program at Yuba College in 2012. Because of her extensive experience in our hospital, she works in several departments, but mostly as a licensed technician. Courtney enjoys riding her horses and has a lab named Lexi.
Helena received her Veterinary Technician degree in 2005 from Western Career College. She has over 11 years of experience in the veterinary filed and has a special interest in surgery and emergency medicine. She shares her home with her son, husband and many pets. In her spare time she enjoys barrel racing and helping out with her local 4-H sheep group.
Jenny has always had a passion for animals, science and medicine since childhood. In college Jenny graduated from the Yuba College Veterinary Technician Program, graduating in 2003 with her Associate of Science degree and receiving her California RVT License. She has worked in veterinary hospitals and veterinary emergency hospitals in Sutter and Placer counties, and on post at USAG Rose Barracks in Vilseck, Germany. Jenny has Sherriff, a spunky young cockatiel, to sing to her when she is at home; and Cooper, a Yorkshire terrier who loves to lick everyone – especially her daughter! Jenny looks forward to helping you and your pets enjoy their visits to Northpointe.
Sarah has always wanted to work in the veterinary industry and finally had the opportunity to achieve this goal when she moved here 9 years ago. She attended the Yuba College Vet Tech Program and graduated in 2012. She has Shelter experience, general practice experience and has joined our team to increase her emergency skills. When she is not working, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and their two dogs “Bandit” and “Salem.”
She had originally been a volunteer at our Northpointe in 2010, and is now a part of our team. Her love for animals and willingness to learn about veterinary medicine inspired her to pursue a career at our hospital. Makynzie is a part of our emergency staff, assisting the technicians and the doctors wherever needed. When not working, Makynzie enjoys outdoor activities, boating, fishing and camping. Her furry friends are Jon Luke and Marley.
She joined our team as a full time kennel assistant, helping in the boarding facility as well as assisting the technicians and doctors when needed. She enjoys taking care of the boarding pets and assuring that all of them are pampered while staying with us when their families are on vacation. Outside of work, she likes drawing and working on her Mustang. She has a cat named Feona and a dog named Curly Sue.
A recent graduate from the Veterinary Technician Program at Carrington College, Kaylene has become a great asset to our hospital. She currently assists with all emergencies and has quickly become familiar with the fast pace environment. She is very involved in our local Sutter County 4-H programs. When away from the hospital she enjoys time with her family, hunting and playing softball, as well as her dog “Tank.”
Born and raised in the Yuba-Sutter area, Julissa has grown up with a love for animals. As a child she would help out on her best friend’s farm, where she learned about taking care of animals. Her goal is to become a veterinary technician. In her free time she enjoys working on DIY projects and spending time with her husband and children. She has three dogs “Evie” “Xena” and “Akilles” and a cat named “Opie-Bob.”
April has many years of experience working with animals, including exotics, and gives credit to her fourth grade teacher for her love of animals. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary program with the goal of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. Outside of work, April enjoys reading, hiking half marathons and spending time with her two dogs “Buster” and “Bubby.”
A new member to the Northpointe staff, Rose is working as a full time kennel assistant. She has a passion for animals and dedicated her time to help care for every animal that comes through our doors. Her dream is to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Currently Rose is attending Yuba College, studying veterinary medicine. In her free time she loves to read and play with her three year old border collie named “Brooklyn.”
Brittany came to us with over three years of previous animal hospital and shelter experience. She enjoys working on our emergency shifts and assisting the hospital wherever she is needed. Her love for animals began when she was young, growing up on a small farm with many types of animals, tending to them and their needs. When she is not working, Brittany looks forward to her time outdoors with her pets and family.
Amanda has had a passion for animals for many years, it all started when she would play “nurse” with her stuffed animals in the backyard. She grew up on a big little farm with goats, sheep and chickens. As a recent graduate from the Yuba College Vet Tech program in 2017, she is excited to finally be working in the field veterinary medicine. In her free time she enjoys fishing, hunting and sewing. But most of all, spending time with her pug, “Daisy”.
Hannah joins our practice as a graduate from Carrington College in the Veterinary Technician Program. She is a part of our emergency team, assisting the doctors with all aspects of emergency care. She has two furry family members, “Bentley” and “Hunter”.
Natasha graduated from the Carrington College veterinary technician program in 2016 with her associate of science degree. Her goal is to become a registered veterinary technician. She has always had a passion for animals since she was a child and enjoys taking care of every patient in the hospital. Outside of work Natasha enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her fur babies “Ivy,” “Benji”, “Ozzie” and “Messi”.
Sara K. – Kennel
Sara has been working at Northpointe Veterinary Hospital since September 2016 but has been a kennel tech since December 2014. She also has previous experience with being a veterinary assistant and has plans to go to tech school in the future. “I love taking care of all of my boarders and treat them as if they were my own. I try to make each pet’s stay as pleasant as possible.” In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her 3 horses and various other pets.
Mack – Kennel
Mack started her career in the Veterinary field as a kennel assistant with our hospital in 2016. She is part of the team working in our boarding facility to ensure that your pets are well taken care of while staying in our boarding facility as you enjoy your time away.
Aubrey joined our reception staff after working in several customer service positions, and she has quickly become an important part of our daytime team. In her spare time Aubrey enjoys outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. She has a yellow Labrador Retriever named “Tank.”
She came to us in March 2009. Her smiling face and outgoing personality are just a few of the characteristics that we enjoy about her. Jennifer has over 20 years of experience working with animals. Some of her four legged friends are Bear, Dora, Samantha and Sammy. She also enjoys riding horses and spending time with her daughter.
Christina is part of our daytime reception team, and has many years of experience in the veterinary field. She enjoys client outreach and education. While away from the front desk she enjoys spending time with her family and two bird dogs “Tule” and “Sprig.”
Samantha has more than 5 years of customer service experience, and has always shared a deep love and interest in animals. As a member of our reception team, and she enjoys the personal relationship with pets and their owners, and appreciates the opportunity to assist them. When Sam is not working at Northpointe, she enjoys spending her time outdoors, or an evening on the couch watching movies with family or friends. Sam admits to spoiling her pets, and will be glad to spoil yours when you come to visit us at Northpointe.
Sherry has over 20 years of experience in customer service and has been working in the veterinary profession for the past two years. She enjoys welcoming clients and their pets into our hospital always with a smile on her face and eager to help. In her spare time she likes to relax with her pets “Teddy” and “Hogan.”
Vanessa came to us after working many years in customer service, and here at Northpointe, she was excited to not only work with our clients, but with their awesome pets too! Vanessa is currently pursuing a degree in Agricultural Education and hopes to someday own a farm. During her down time, Vanessa loves to curl up with her cats Mister and Belle and canines Max and Jazzy. You can find Vanessa at the front desk, or in front of it spoiling your pets with attention!
Morgan started working in the veterinary field in 2012. Prior to that she volunteered her time at various local rescue groups. When she’s not greeting the clients of Northpointe Veterinary hospital as a receptionist, she enjoys housesitting for friends and family and working on her family’s ranch.
Annette has been working in the veterinary field since 1995 after earning her AS degree in the Veterinary Science program at Yuba College. She enjoys her spare time with her husband, kids and grandkids doing outdoor activities such as camping and riding jet skis. Other hobbies include bowling and sewing. Annette has 3 dogs “Tinkerbell,” “Gidget” and “Astro” as well as 3 cats, 1 bird, 4 Nigerian goats and a pot belly pig.
Abril is one of our emergency reception team, and has several years of experience in the veterinary field. She is going to school for her Bachelorette’s in Natural Science in the hopes of one day becoming a Fisheries Biologist. For now, in her spare time she enjoys fishing, camping and kayaking the Feather River with her Chihuahua “Gypsy.”
