PRACTICE MANAGER
Sherri
Sherri began her career at Northpointe in 1996. She is now the administrative coordinator for the entire practice. Sherri is involved to some degree in almost everything that happens “behind the scenes” at Northpointe Veterinary Hospital. In her spare time, Sherri enjoys spending time with her family and four-legged friends “Miley” and “Marley.”
HR MANAGER
Tyler
Tyler is our Human Resources Manager who came from the tech and entertainment industry before Northpointe. He works closely with Sherri to ensure that the team gets the support they need day to day. While Tyler doesn’t currently have any pets at home, he loves pugs and hopes to be a happy pug owner one day in the near future.
REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS
Karen
Karen has over 20 years of experience as a registered veterinary technician, and currently works as an emergency technician at Northpointe. She is responsible for the care and monitoring of patients that are brought in through the night. Karen enjoys gardening in her free time and is involved in showing Brittany Spaniels at AKC and UKC dog shows. Atlas, Kherrington and Paris are just a few of the pets that share her home.
Tiffany
She started at our hospital as a volunteer, but she has now graduated from the registered veterinary technician program at Western Career College, passed the California state licensing board exam, and has now become a valuable member of our permanent staff. As a registered veterinary technician, she cares for hospitalized pets, assists in surgery and administers treatments. She also manages our prescription diet program for patients here at Northpointe. In her free time Tiffany enjoys boating with her husband and her four legged kids Sophee and Rubee.
Annina
She is a valuable part of our emergency staff, assisting the doctors with all aspects of emergency care. Annina started on our staff as an assistant, but her love of animals drove her to continue her education and she became a registered veterinary technician in 2011. Her current pets are Duke and Vino.
Alysia
Alysia became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2010, and previously worked at UC Davis. She enjoys helping clients and their pets every day. Staying active and spending time with her family and animals are some of her favorite things to do. Her baby girl is her newest obsession.
Mariah
Before finding a home at Northpointe, Mariah worked at two different practices as a Veterinary Assistant and Registered Veterinary Technician. She is a 2019 graduate from Yuba City College with a degree in Veterinary Technology. In addition to her dog Zeplin, Mariah has three geckos (Zeus, Taygete, and Seth)! When Mariah is off work she enjoys kayaking, going on adventures, and catching up on sleep.
Bonnie
Bonnie is our dental expert who has a great deal of experience in the field both overseas as well as at home in California, Idaho, Arkansas, and South Dakota. Bonnie also carries a heavy interest in large animal medicine, emergency medicine, nutrition, reproduction and business leadership. When Bonnie is away from the practice she enjoys managing her large livestock ranch with cattle and pigs. She also owns horses, dogs, cats, goats, chickens, fish and a turtle!
ASSISTANTS
Makynzie
She had originally been a volunteer at our Northpointe in 2010, and is now a part of our team. Her love for animals and willingness to learn about veterinary medicine inspired her to pursue a career at our hospital. Makynzie is a part of our emergency staff, assisting the technicians and the doctors wherever needed. When not working, Makynzie enjoys outdoor activities, boating, fishing and camping. Her furry friends are Jon Luke and Marley.
Hannah
She joined our team as a full time kennel assistant, helping in the boarding facility as well as assisting the technicians and doctors when needed. She enjoys taking care of the boarding pets and assuring that all of them are pampered while staying with us when their families are on vacation. Outside of work, she likes drawing and working on her Mustang. She has a cat named Feona and a dog named Curly Sue.
Julissa
Born and raised in the Yuba-Sutter area, Julissa has grown up with a love for animals. As a child she would help out on her best friend’s farm, where she learned about taking care of animals. Her goal is to become a veterinary technician. In her free time she enjoys working on DIY projects and spending time with her husband and children. She has three dogs “Evie” “Xena” and “Akilles” and a cat named “Opie-Bob.”
April
April has many years of experience working with animals, including exotics, and gives credit to her fourth grade teacher for her love of animals. She is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary program with the goal of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. Outside of work, April enjoys reading, hiking half marathons and spending time with her two dogs “Buster” and “Bubby.”
Rose
A new member to the Northpointe staff, Rose is working as a full time kennel assistant. She has a passion for animals and dedicated her time to help care for every animal that comes through our doors. Her dream is to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Currently Rose is attending Yuba College, studying veterinary medicine. In her free time she loves to read and play with her three year old border collie named “Brooklyn.”
Natasha
Natasha graduated from the Carrington College veterinary technician program in 2016 with her associate of science degree. Her goal is to become a registered veterinary technician. She has always had a passion for animals since she was a child and enjoys taking care of every patient in the hospital. Outside of work Natasha enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her fur babies “Ivy,” “Benji”, “Ozzie” and “Messi”.
Laura T:
After several years as a veterinary assistant Laura moved back home to the west coast. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs Coconut and Brooklyn going to the ocean, hiking and enjoying the outdoors.
Lila
Lila joined our staff with several years of experience in veterinary medicine and graduated from Yuba College with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, her pets and working on art projects.
Laura H.
Laura has been in the veterinary field for 6 years as an assistant. Although she’s new to emergency medicine, Laura has met the challenge and enjoys all areas of the field. She has a passion for fostering animals and on her days off she enjoys spending time with family and hiking.
RECEPTIONISTS
Jennifer
Jen is our Receptionist Team Leader who oversees operations at the front of the hospital. Prior to joining us in 2009, Jen worked as a flight attendant and as an animal trainer at Sea World! Jen loves spending time with her family, including her many pets: two horses, two ponies, and five chihuahuas.
Aubrey
Aubrey joined our reception staff after working in several customer service positions, and she has quickly become an important part of our daytime team. In her spare time Aubrey enjoys outdoor activities like hunting and fishing. She has a yellow Labrador Retriever named “Tank.”
Samantha
Samantha has more than 5 years of customer service experience, and has always shared a deep love and interest in animals. As a member of our reception team, and she enjoys the personal relationship with pets and their owners, and appreciates the opportunity to assist them. When Sam is not working at Northpointe, she enjoys spending her time outdoors, or an evening on the couch watching movies with family or friends. Sam admits to spoiling her pets, and will be glad to spoil yours when you come to visit us at Northpointe.
Sherry
Sherry has over 20 years of experience in customer service and has been working in the veterinary profession for the past two years. She enjoys welcoming clients and their pets into our hospital always with a smile on her face and eager to help. In her spare time she likes to relax with her pets “Teddy” and “Hogan.”
Annette
Annette has been working in the veterinary field since 1995 after earning her AS degree in the Veterinary Science program at Yuba College. She enjoys her spare time with her husband, kids and grandkids doing outdoor activities such as camping and riding jet skis. Other hobbies include bowling and sewing. Annette has 3 dogs “Tinkerbell,” “Gidget” and “Astro” as well as 3 cats, 1 bird, 4 Nigerian goats and a pot belly pig.
Terri
Terri has held many positions in the veterinary field, including kennel assistant, veterinary assistant and now a receptionist. She also gained valuable experience outside of the industry in bookkeeping, accounting, and also worked for KIXE Channel 9 in Redding! Terri loves to find unique treasures in antique shops, and tries to camp as much as she can when away from work.
