Northpointe is a full-service veterinary hospital offering a wide range of services to keep your companions healthy and feeling their best.
Emergency Services
As a 24-hour facility, our hospital is always available for urgent or emergency care. We have veterinarians and trained staff on duty in the hospital at all times—not simply “on-call.” Even if you have another regular veterinarian, we will be happy to provide care at any hour and help coordinate a transfer back to your own veterinarian in the morning.
Laboratory Services
With a complete line of sophisticated in-house lab equipment, we perform a wide variety of diagnostic tests including hematology, serum chemistry, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also work closely with a commercial veterinary lab for specialized diagnostic testing.
Anesthesia and Surgery
Our modern surgical suite is equipped with sophisticated patient monitoring equipment, including pulse oximetry, EKG and blood pressure monitors to provide your pet with the safest environment for anesthetic and surgical procedures. We also have a board-certified surgical specialist available for particularly challenging cases. We also offer surgeries for clients wishing to spay and neuter their pets.
Radiology Services
We are able to take high quality digital radiographs (x-rays) here at the hospital — in most cases, while you wait. For dental procedures we have specialized digital radiology equipment. Digital x-ray processing allows us to use much lower x-ray settings, which makes it safer for both patients and staff. It also requires no developing which means shorter anesthesia.
Ultrasound
Our Doppler color flow imaging provides modern diagnostic ultrasonography. This advanced technology allows a safe and non-invasive method of visualizing the body using sound waves instead of radiation and helps us diagnose many disorders that would be difficult or impossible to see with x-rays alone.
Dentistry
This is one of the areas of care most commonly overlooked or neglected by pet owners. Teeth that are broken, loosened by periodontal disease, infected or decayed can cause significant pain and suffering. We recommend a thorough dental examination on a regular basis for all pets that are middle-aged or older. Our dental services include teeth cleaning, periodontal assessment, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. We are equipped with new digital dental x-ray technology.
Pharmacy
We carry a complete inventory of veterinary prescription medications to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets used to help manage certain medical conditions.
Pet Boarding
We provide boarding for dogs and cats. Dogs stay in climate-controlled indoor kennels. In a separate area, cats stay in individual “cat condos” with a window view. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff who are here with them around the clock. See our Boarding page for more information.
