To our valued NPVH family:
In the midst of the current COVID-19 pandemic and the Yuba/Sutter County directive to “stay home except for essential activities,” we want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to keep our clients, patients, and our care team healthy. In accordance with that, we have reshaped our workflow and appointments in order to keep clients, staff, and patients as safe as possible.
At this time, we will operate on a limited patient receiving basis, focusing on urgent care and emergency cases from 8am – 6pm. Our ER department will remain open 24/7 for emergent medical conditions. We will also be implementing a “Curbside Check In” system starting March 20th, 12pm, outlined below.
Most wellness / non-essential appointments scheduled for the weeks of March 22 and March 29 will be rescheduled. Clients are currently being contacted regarding cancellations and will be contacted at a future date to discuss rescheduling, based on how the COVID-19 situation unfolds. Status of appointments beginning the week of April 5 will be addressed in the upcoming week.
If you need to bring your pet in on an urgent care / emergency basis, please CALL US FIRST and adhere to the following guidelines:
- If you are ill in ANY way, are over age 65, have a chronic medical condition, are immunocompromised, or have recently (within the past 2 weeks) traveled out of the country, we ask that you remain home and send another individual (with no symptoms) to bring your pet to our clinic. Please call in advance in order to allow us to take proper precautions.
- When you (or caretaker) and your pet arrive, we ask that you wait in your car. Please call from the parking lot to let us know you are here! Our team will speak with you on the phone before a team member comes out to your vehicle to bring your pet inside for examination and treatment. You will stay in your car and communicate with our team via phone regarding all aspects of the appointment, including estimates and payments.
- All payments will be taken over the phone by our staff. We accept credit or debit card, Care Credit, or Scratch Pay. To decrease risk of exposure, cash payments are discouraged unless no alternative payment form is available. Checks are not accepted.
- No clients are permitted into the building at this time. Please understand that this is for the safety of everyone involved.
To ensure there is no interruption with availability of prescription medications or diets, we will do our best to fill prescriptions for 30 day intervals – when appropriate, and will assist you in setting up accounts with our online pharmacy in order to have your medicine and food mailed directly to your home.
Above all, we ask for your patience as we work together to adapt to these new challenges we face as a community while still continuing to provide the best care possible to you and your family pets. Thank you for all of your support and we know that together, we will get through this!
