Kim Padilla, DVM – Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Padilla is a graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, and after receiving her DVM degree she completed a medical and surgical internship at California Veterinary Specialists in Southern California. Dr. Padilla is one of our emergency doctors at Northpointe. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Padilla loves spending time with her family and their pets Cheddar and Buster.
Carol Vetri, DVM
Dr. Vetri has been a vet at Northpointe since 2006. She is a graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to her busy clinical schedule at Northpointe, she is also involved in the care of the animals at the Sutter County Animal Control Facility. She is joined at home by Lola and April, just to name a few of her many furry friends.
Brittany Thompson, DVM
Dr. Thompson received her veterinary degree in 2007 from the St. George University School of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from the Yuba-Sutter area, she joined our staff in 2011 after working in a busy practice in Syracuse, New York. When not practicing at Northpointe Dr. Thompson spends time at home with her family.
Masae Suda, DVM
Dr. Suda is one of our emergency clinicians at Northpointe. She is a 2005 graduate of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and worked professionally in the Sacramento area before coming to work with us. Dr. Suda has a special interest in veterinary ultrasonography (ultrasound). She is joined at home with her husband, son, and their pets Pumpkin, Ken and Rudolf.
R. Mariko Pillitteri, DVM
Dr. Pillitteri attended the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with an academic background in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Following her graduation in 2013, she completed an intensive internship at East Bay Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Pillitteri has special interests and experience in emergency medicine, surgery and ultrasound. She is also completing a certification in small animal and equine veterinary medical acupuncture. In her free time, Dr. Pillitteri competes in dressage and spends time with her family which includes 3 rescued dogs and a horse.
Megan Dunbar, DVM
Dr. Dunbar received her degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She has been practicing in the Yuba-Sutter area for the past few years before joining us at Northpointe, where she now works as part of our daytime medical team. She has clinical experience not just with dogs and cats, but also with horses and ranch animals. Dr. Dunbar enjoys camping, fishing and the great outdoors.
Holly Meltesen, DVM
Dr. Meltesen is a graduate of the University of Colorado College of Veterinary Medicine, and has been working as an emergency clinician for most of her career. At Northpointe she provides both overnight emergency services and daytime urgent care. In addition to her clinical background, Dr. Meltesen also has research and teaching experience. When away from the hospital, Dr. Meltesen also enjoys horseback riding. She has a border collie named “Rachel,” and a Bernese mountain dog named “Sienna”.
Margaret Abeyta, DVM
Dr. Abeyta graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced medicine on a wide variety of animals including ring-tailed lemurs and pot-bellied pigs! Her first job was working at a busy practice in Florida, so she is well traveled and comes to us with a lot of experience. On her free time Dr. Abeyta loves snowboarding, volleyball, and spending time with her many pets (4 French Bulldogs – Fergus, Friday, Roux, and Quasimodo, a Golden/Aussie Mix – Finn, and Suzi the Cat). Not only is Dr. Abeyta licensed in veterinary medicine, but she is obtaining her pilot’s license!
Tara Williams, DVM
Dr. Williams graduated from Auburn University in Alabama with a passion for internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. After coming to California in 2005, she practiced at a couple different clinics before joining the Northpointe family. When Dr. Williams is away from Northpointe, she enjoys cheering on her kids at their various athletic events, as well as spending time with her Labrador Retriever, Shug, and her Palomino Appaloosa Mare, Foxy Lady.
